August & the Fall transition.

August is almost done and I can hardly believe it! LIFE - if you don't like something, change it!

I saw this on a friends facebook page and LOVED it. It's in line with my favorite poem 'Desiderata'. I have several dreams that I'm working on. Some are slower going than others I must admit. Then I have some still in the 'thinking' stage. But one that I'm working on all the time and enjoying whole heartedly is having my own business and working from home. And one of the reasons I'm working on it as much as I can (besides the obvious reason of wanting to be successful at it) is so that I can earn a trip to the Domincan Republic in June (all expenses paid) and stay HERE!

How incredibly AWESOME would that be to take my whole family here, all paid for??!! So right now that is the main dream I am working on....MY BUSINESS. But don't worry, I'm not forgoing my other dreams either. I think the world would be a better place if everyone lived their lives according the picture above.

August is a busy month with Scentsy. Right now in Fort Worth Texas there is a big Convention going on that I'm sad to be missing out on. I can't WAIT to hear and see all the reveal for the new product, scents and Fall/Winter Catalog!

August is also transition month, which means this is the month before the NEW catalog as mentioned above. What this means is that there is a list of discontinued warmers & scents that will not be making an appearance in the new catalog (available September 1st). Take a look at the poster and see your faves are on there and if so, you might want to stock up. The scents are available until August 31st and the warmers are available while supplies last. Planning on Travelling this Summer??

July's Scent & Warmer of the month!

Ok, how cute is this warmer, called "Cupcake"? This is Scentsy's first 3 piece mid-size warmer. The 'icing' part comes off and the dish where you place your Scentsy wax is below (see small picture on the bottom). The icing also has vent holes to release the fragrance from your wax. I'm excited for this one because it is also going to be a birthday gift for my daughter this summer (big smile).

The scent for July is called "Happy Birthday"and is a 'candy-liscious' confection of sparkling sugar, fluffy whipped cream, and warm vanilla extract. I personally haven't smelled this one yet, but I've heard great things so far.

Scentsy's NEW blog

I love reading blogs....from other Scentsy Consultants, to home decor, to Canadian Living, to recipe ones, to photography...my list goes on! What would you give to a GRAD STUDENT?

On facebook, Scentsy Canada asked the question, "Which warmer would you give to a Grad student?".

There were some super fun ideas and so I thought I'd share some of my faves!

*White DIY warmer (with or without a theme pack) and a black sharpie for all their friends to sign.

*Mays warmer of the month called "Magellan", which looks like an antique world globe. Include a note that says "The world is yours to discover" or "Your future in the world has never been brighter".

*If you are in the US, then one of the actual college warmers of the school they will be attending.

*A gift card and testers for them and friends to have a last 'hoorah' party/get together.

*Especially for the boys: Sports themed warmers, black DIY warmer (with or without a theme pack), Mission Slate warmer, Caldera warmer.

*Especially for the girls: Dotty warmer, Fizz warmer, Zebra warmer, Doodlebud warmer, Boho Chic warmer.

Some great ideas for scents to go along with those warmers are:

Happy Mothers Day!

Just wanted to wish all you WONDERFUL mothers out there a very special day! I hope you are able to spend it with your loved ones!

I'm starting off my weekend with a family trip to a local mining museum which I'm so excited about. My daughters will LOVE it. It has a little train ride through a cave (part of the mine), panning for gold, museum part, little gift store etc. Should be a great day! Then out for lunch.

Freshly scented rooms just went bridal thanks to Scentsy!

I was recently reading an article from a bridal website that I just happened to run across and I thought it was great! It said, "Most bridal things are associated with being white or beige. It ties in with the bridal attire. They are using Scentsy warmers as gifts for the attendants, hostess gifts and as door prizes at bridal showers."

The article was also suggesting using Scentsy Room Sprays to freshen up the bathrooms at your reception area or church & putting labels on the bottles with your wedding date and distributing them as favors.

Scents on the Go!

So I just got back from Cuba (which was an amazing time!) and I have to say that these Scentsy items are indeed perfect for travelling! I brought along a fragrance foam (Raspberry Vanilla) and 2 Travel Tins (Beach & Ocean), one for the bathroom and one for my suitcase to keep the clothes from smelling musty. Loved them!! I was going to be really cheesy and take pictures of them on the beach, but I was too busy relaxing in the sunshine with my pina colada (smile, wink). Happy day everyone!

Well spring is supposedly just around the corner (on the 20th to be exact) - but somehow I get the feeling it's not going to be too spring like any time soon (sad face).

Well...I said I'd let you know how Spring Sprint went and it was fantastic! Left feeling inspired, educated and very happy to be a part of this business. It took me a while to decide to get off the fence and purchase the starter kit, but I'm very happy I did. It's great to have my own home based business and work as much or as little as I want...but still feel like you're part of a team and with lots of support and training.
